Mass production of military ammunition (30.000 rounds per day) during Brazilian Civil War

1932

Remington Arms and ICI (Imperial Chemical Industries) become shareholders and the company is renamed to CBC (Brazilian Cartridge Company)

1936

Brazilian Army buys entire company production before entering World War II

1942

CBC enters the international market

1966

CBC starts exporting military ammunition – such as .50 caliber, in all versions

1975

CBC becomes a 100% Brazilian company

1979

CBC supplies the first batch of 20x110mm (HEIT-SD) to the Brazilian Navy

1980

Inauguration of the Propellant Plant in Ribeirão Pires

1987

Current administration takes over

1989

Launching of the new export brand: Magtech

1990

CBC presents a new visual identity and releases more than 40 new products at once

1992

Inauguration of the new plant in the south of Brazil

2000

CBC’s 7.62x51mm Ball and Tracer versions are homologated by the US Army

2006

CBC’s 7.62x51mm Ball is NATO homologated, sponsored by The Netherlands

2007

CBC acquires MEN (Metallwerk Elisenhütte Nassau GmbH), a renowned German ammunition producer

2007

CBC acquires the Czech company Sellier & Bellot, one of the most traditional ammunition producers in the World, operating since 1825

2009

CBC is qualified by the French Army for supplying 5.56x45mm

2013

CBC is granted the status of a Strategic Defense Company in Brazil, consolidating its position as an important part of the National Defense Industry Base

2014

Diversification strategy: CBC group present in over 130 countries

2015

CBC celebrates 90 years and advances as one of the main ammunition producers in World

2016

CBC qualified by the US Navy for supplying .50 Reduced Range for the next 5 years

2018

CBC wins 10-year contract with UK MOD for the supply of .50 NATO Ball and Tracer
